The city has a responsibility to provide affordable space for citizens to gather, similar to a Town Hall. The city should retain this heritage building in a reduced for but use the part that is still useable.

The city engineering staff would do this and their architect f.

How do you propose that the redevelopment of the Founders Theatre building will be funded?

As they fund other civic parks, halls and gathering places, part private charitable and part rates

When would you want to commence your lease/ownership of the building and what are your timelines for redevelopment?

Never it is the cities responsibility to organise this. It is deplorable that this option is the only one that retains a historic building. You are pretending to care when all you want to do is demolish. Environmentally and socially you are doing Hamilton a disservice and it is rather sneaky pretending to ask for our opinions!

Please explain how your proposal links to Council’s vision for the central city and West Town Belt.

The design for the town belt was established when the Founders was built there is no need to change it. A useable building in that area where there are so many apartments and a desire for the city for inner city living should be retained, means that the original vision of a green strip is a good one and should be retained.
