There wasn't an option to suggest this, but with a housing shortage, and massive amounts of people in emergency housing it seems like a no-brainer to open up this block of land for medium density apparent blocks. Probably the best location in the entire city to do this. Views of a park, walking distance to bus station, supermarkets and city centre. Im pretty sure with the right organisations on board this could even make money for the council rather than costing money???

All of NZ. especially low income / emergency housing. Implement a rent-to-own and it would be reducing the tax payer costs too.

Im not the one to make this happen, but you'd have lots of companies bidding to make it work if you opened it up for this.

Either private building development companies, or NFP groups - or combination.

More people living closer to the city centre, reducing emissions if people live closer to where they work, good in every way. there's a green space right across the road from this site so you won't be losing anything. Can't see any downside.
