Consultation outcome

Background

The playgrounds at Brymer Glen Reserve in Grandview Heights, Chelmsford Park in Silverdale and Farringdon Avenue Reserve in Rototuna North are due for a refresh as part of Council’s ongoing playground renewals programme. This programme ensures we look after the play spaces we have so they are in good condition for the community for years to come.

From 26 August to 16 September 2025, we sought feedback from the local communities to understand what they would like to see included in the refreshed playgrounds, so we could use these insights to help shape their designs.

What we heard from the community

We asked the Grandview Heights, Silverdale and Rototuna North communities to tell us what they would like to see included in a refreshed playground in each of these parks and share other insights about their households to help form a picture of who will be using the space.
