Hamilton City Council is undertaking this survey to better understand how well mobility parking spaces in central Hamilton are working for the people who rely on them.

Mobility parking is essential for enabling people with mobility needs to access shops, services, employment, and social activities in the city centre. While mobility parking spaces are provided throughout central Hamilton, we know that some spaces may not be in the right locations, may be difficult to use, or may not meet the needs of all permit holders.

This survey aims to:

  • identify issues and barriers people experience when using existing council operated mobility parking spaces
  • understand which locations and layouts work well and which do not
  • identify areas in central Hamilton where additional mobility parking spaces may be needed
  • help inform decisions about improving existing spaces and proposing new mobility parking locations.

We are inviting anyone who uses mobility parking in Hamilton, or assists someone who does, to share their experiences. Your feedback will play an important role in shaping future changes to mobility parking in the city centre and ensuring these spaces are safe, accessible, and fit for purpose.
