Council on 28 April 2016 adopted a revised Class 4 Gambling Venue Policy. This Policy regulates the location and number of venues which have gambling machines (Class 4 venues) within Hamilton City.
A potential further change to the policy has been identified. The further amendment would allow existing operators within the permitted gambling area to move to another venue within the permitted gambling area.
Currently this is not allowed under the policy and this prevents operators from moving to alternative premises, or clubs from merging into one location, within the permitted area.
