Overview

We are now a few weeks into the trial of the new LED streetlight smart technology in the Hillcrest around Waikato University area and we want to find out how local Hillcrest residents rate their new street lighting.

Why your views matter

Based on this feedback and a technical review of the system the information will feed into a business case for Council to decide whether this type of "smart" lighting can be installed throughout the city.

The trial is for a period of six months, however after the trial the LED bulbs will remain in your street, however we won’t have the ability to communicate or make changes to them whilst they are operating.
