Consultation on Public Places Byaw 2016 and Policy has now closed.

Hamilton City Council sought feedback on a proposed policy and bylaw that aims to minimise public nuisance and protect public health and safety. The proposed Public Places Bylaw 2016 and Policy provide guidance and enforcement for a wide range of activities in public places across the city, including outdoor dining, signage, mobile trading and busking. 


A total of 32 submissions were received, with seven submitters within to speak a the hearings being held on 9 February 2016.  Please click here to view the submissions.
