The opportunity to give feedback has closed.

A new draft bylaw which helps protect the community and the environment has been proposed, and feedback is sought from the community.  Submissions can be made on the Trade Waste and Wastewater Bylaw over the next two months, and there will be a public information day on Tuesday 22 March, between 4pm and 7pm, at the Municipal Building in Garden Place.

The proposed Trade Waste and Wastewater Bylaw

• Sets out what is and is not allowed to enter the wastewater system
• Provides clarity on everyone’s responsibilities in using the wastewater system
• Provides clear direction to trade waste consent holders and tankered-waste operators on how they will need to manage discharges to the wastewater system.
